Ja’Nelle DeVore serves as the Director of National Security Solutions and Services (NS3) where she is responsible for leading and managing the department’s national security information technology (IT) program. Ja'Nelle was formerly the Program Manager for the Policy, Compliance and Workforce Development team responsible for leading and managing department-wide cybersecurity Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) governance and oversight that supports the Departments infrastructure and information technology assets.
Prior to joining DOC, Ja'Nelle was Director of the Joint Cybersecurity Coordination Center (JC3) Client Services for the Department of Energy. In this role she was accountable managing JC3 related information regarding cyber incidents, risks and a full range of project management activities related to the protection of all DOE cybersecurity assets and information. Also responsible for managing the over $25-million-dollar portfolio she provided direction to DOE's National Laboratories as it related to cyber intelligence and assuring information systems security integration into classified and unclassified environments.
Ja'Nelle has over 25 years of professional experience that includes over eight years as a federal Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), six years working in Information Security Officer, engineering and cyber intel roles; and has proudly serviced in the United State Air Force working federal continuity programs and supporting Presidential Missions. She is a recognized cybersecurity leader with a track record of success in complex operational IT environments and has an in-depth knowledge of FISMA, risk management and federal cyber laws and regulations.
Ja'Nelle holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS). She is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers (FAC-P/PM) Level 3, and a FAC Contracting Officer's Representative (FAC-COR) Level 2.
