
Mr. Prab Bajwa joined the Department of Commerce as the Application and Digital Services Director in April 2021. Prab has more than 20 years of solid IT experience, including C-Level leadership. Before coming to the Department of Commerce, he had led senior technical leadership for global transportation deliverables at Cubic. Prior to that, Prab served the US Courts as their Chief Technology Officer with key responsibilities of identifying, evaluating and implementing technology-based solutions designed to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire US Federal judiciary. Prior to US Courts, Mr. Bajwa managed the successful rollout of DHS FEMA’s Grants Management Modernization (GMM) platform with the grant portfolio of $12 Billion/year. Prior to DHS FEMA, Mr. Bajwa was the Chief Information Officer at the DEA led El Paso Intelligence Center. During his term at EPIC, he collaborated with 28 different law enforcement Department & Agencies and delivered numerous capabilities which spanned from the new mobile ready EPIC Portal, federated ICAM, in-memory Business Intelligence, award winning Geo-Spatial Intelligence, cutting edge security implementations, 3-D enabled mobile National Seizure System and EPIC’s de-confliction hub. His technical leadership got him selected as the core member of the Director of National Intelligence led White House Steering Technical Advisory Committee. His previous government career includes serving as the program lead for all of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) - Headquarters custom application development and the National Protection Program Directorate (NPPD). Prior to DHS, Mr. Bajwa was with Booz Allen Hamilton, where he led major IT development efforts for Joint Chief of Staff at Pentagon, DHS Immigration & Customs Enforcement and the National Science Foundation. His knowledge of telecommunications was very instrumental while he served as the service owner for 13 managed services at the AT&T Bell labs.
Mr. Bajwa has an engineering background and received his Master of Science in Information Systems from Clarkson University, NY. He has received numerous IT certifications and has been highly recognized at his prior and current work place.
